Washington, D.C.- The Drum Major is a respected and coveted position within the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps. Master Gunnery Sgt. Kevin Buckles is the current Drum Major and Senior Enlisted Advisor of the unit. Each year one NCO is chosen through an arduous audition to fill the role of the Drum Major and represent the D&B during the NCO Tuesday Sunset Parade which will be held on 12 August at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, VA. The representative for the 2014 NCO Sunset Parade is Sgt. Matthew Moyer. In reference to being chosen as the NCO Drum Major, Sgt. Moyer stated "It is a chance to showcase what NCO's in the Corps' can do." Every key billet in the 12 August parade will be filled by NCOs from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. Positions traditionally held by senior Staff NCO's and Officers. (Photo By: Staff Sgt. Joshua D. Miles/Released)
